SALT LAKE CITY, UT September 13, 2010 -- ADP Lightspeed, a premier provider of Dealer Management Solutions, today announced its integrated Parts and Major Unit Locator in LightspeedNXT has over 500 dealers posting parts and major units to the combined database. The Locator has seen quick adoption since its launch in July 2008 due to its ease of use and low cost of $20 a month to post inventory information for other dealers using LightspeedNXT to search.
"In my opinion this is the best solution around to move my parts inventory,” said Brian Glynn Co-Owner of Wisconsin Harley-Davidson. “The Locator turns parts into cash without having to log into a different system or updating online information. The item might even be a slow moving or obsolete item.”
The Locator feature virtually eliminates the challenging situation finding unique, backordered or discontinued parts. Now dealers can quickly search other dealers’ inventories for units and parts which not only can generate revenue by decreasing lost sales but also allows dealers to increase sales through other dealers purchasing from their posted inventories. In August 2010 there were over 65,000 searches using the locator.
The Parts and Major Unit Locator allows dealer using the LightspeedNXT Dealer Management System (DMS) to post their entire inventory to a searchable database that is refreshed nightly. Using the Locator to search is free. The Locator has been enhanced to included Warehouse information from OEM’s, aftermarket manufactures and distributors (view searchable warehouses). A major benefit to the Locator is that it is located within the invoicing screens, which allows dealer employees to search without the need to log onto a separate system.
